first day of the dance workshop
Today was the first day of the dance workshop at the community center. I arrived early to set up and to make sure everything was ready for the kids. I was a little nervous but I reminded myself that this was my chance to give something special to these children.
As the kids started to arrive I could see the excitement on their faces. Some of them had never danced before and I could tell they were a little unsure of what to expect. I welcomed them with a big smile and told them that we were going to have fun and learn something new together.
The workshop went better than I could have imagined. The kids were eager to learn and I could see their confidence growing with each step they took. I focused on making the class fun and encouraging, so they would feel comfortable expressing themselves.
By the end of the day the kids were laughing, dancing, and having a great time. Seeing their joy made all the effort worth it. I felt like I had given them something valuable a sense of confidence and the freedom to express themselves through dance.
As I sat down to write in my journal tonight I reflected on how teaching with heart can make a difference in someone’s life. The law of giving had shown me that when you give with love and passion you create something beautiful that can touch others in unexpected ways.
