maintain control it’s important

To maintain control it’s important to make others reliant on you for their needs. When people depend on you they are less likely to rebel or go against your wishes because they fear losing what you provide. A historical example of this can be found in monarchies where kings and queens controlled resources and privileges ensuring that their subjects stayed loyal.

In the corporate world think of a manager who holds the key to certain important information. If the team always turns to that manager for guidance, the manager stays irreplaceable. By holding onto this power they ensure that their value is constantly recognized. If the team ever becomes too independent the manager’s influence starts to fade.

In your personal life consider situations where friends rely on you for emotional support. By being the one they trust most, you become essential in their lives. However it’s important not to appear too controlling as it may cause people to distance themselves. The balance lies in making them feel secure while subtly maintaining your position of influence.
