project that had everyone working

In a bustling company, there was a project that had everyone working late nights. The project’s leader Raj was well-known for his ability to get things done. But Raj had a secret: he rarely did the actual work himself. Instead he had a talent for identifying the strengths of his team members and delegating tasks accordingly. Raj knew that Amit was great at crunching numbers Priya excelled at presentations and Meera had a knack for research.

Raj would call a meeting lay out the plan and then assign each person their role. He would check in periodically offering guidance and encouragement. But when it came time to present the project to the higher-ups Raj took the lead. He spoke eloquently highlighting the key points and answering questions as if he had done it all. The team didn’t mind; they knew they were part of something bigger. But when Raj received all the praise and a promotion the credit he took started to feel less like a team effort and more like a one-man show.

This episode teaches us that while delegation is a crucial skill taking full credit for others’ work can erode trust over time. Raj might have succeeded in the short term but the resentment brewing among his team could jeopardize future collaborations.
