Indian music producer says “ Aashiqui ” Songs were copied from Pakistani tracks.

In a surprising revelation, Lalit Pandit of the composer duo Jatin-Lalit has accused Nadeem-Shravan of plagiarizing Pakistani tracks for the iconic 1990 film Aashiqui. Lalit claimed in an interview with Bollywood Hungama that many beloved songs from Aashiqui were not original compositions, stating, “Nadeem would go to Dubai, buy Pakistani cassettes, and reproduce them. The entire industry knows this.”

Lalit further emphasized that their music was original, inspired but never directly lifted. The original Aashiqui starred Rahul Roy and Annu Agarwal, and its sequel, Aashiqui 2, featured Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor. Discussions about Aashiqui 3 with Triptii Dimri and Kartik Aaryan have reportedly faced legal issues.
