I found myself staring at my bank account
This morning I found myself staring at my bank account, feeling a bit of panic. There wasn’t much money left and I wasn’t sure how I was going to pay for everything. But instead of letting it overwhelm me I reminded myself of the lesson I learned yesterday: control myself not the things I can’t control.
I went to work with a new mindset. Even though I wasn’t earning much, I decided to do the best I could with what I had. I focused on doing a good job helping my clients and staying positive. It wasn’t easy, but I felt a small sense of accomplishment at the end of the day.
In the evening, I headed to dance class. My mind was full of worries but as soon as the music started I let go of everything. Dancing helps me forget my troubles, even if it’s just for a little while. As I practiced I thought about how I could improve not just in dance but in my life as well. Every step I take is part of my growth.
